Ali Zigeli is a photographer and director/filmmaker working across still and moving image. With a formative background in art direction and studio experience in the UK, his work combines an editorial sensibility with instinct for narrative and atmosphere. Before turning fully to photography, he briefly studied architecture, something that continues to be present in his sense of space and composition.
His practice spans editorial, advertising and fashion, creating campaigns and visual stories for brands, publications, agencies and cultural institutions. He is driven by bringing together creative teams and shaping the direction of a project from its initial idea through to the final image.
Born in Montenegro, Zigeli’s perspective is influenced by the still present cultural contrasts between the Western Europe and the Balkans. Based in Zurich and working internationally across Switzerland, Paris, Milan and London.
